Basic Needs
Golden West College's one-stop Basic Needs hub, The Stand, is dedicated to supporting students' well-being by providing access to essential resources that help remove barriers to academic success. Services include a food pantry, emergency financial assistance, CalFresh application support, housing and community resource referrals, hygiene supplies, clothing assistance, transportation resources, and technology support when available. The Stand also connects students with campus and community partners to ensure they have the tools and support needed to stay healthy, focused, and on track toward achieving their educational and career goals. By addressing students' basic needs, Golden West College fosters a supportive environment where every student has the opportunity to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
